Nothing Phone (2): Everything we know so far

CEO Carl Pei said nothing that Nothing Phone (2) wouldn’t be launching anytime soon, and then announced its launch just a few weeks after that at MWC 2023. The brand also confirmed that Nothing Phone (2) would be its flagship premium smartphone. It will be better than Phone 1 in every aspect.

The Nothing Phone (2) will likely follow the Nothing Phone (1) footprint and will continue to offer a unique design with a transparent back and lighting glyph. The device is also supposed to feature a slightly better screen, possibly with a higher resolution and brightness.

The new and improved Glyph lighting on the back could get you additional capabilities, and the phone is also expected to offer an improved IP rating for water and dust resistance. While the form factor of the Nothing Phone (2) may remain identical to the Nothing Phone (1), it will likely have newer design cues, including a uniquely located camera island, and the phone is also expected to be available in more variants. Phone (2) Cameras

Dubbed as the flagship offering, the Nothing Phone 2 will likely feature a triple camera setup, possibly with a dedicated wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto lens. At MWC, the company confirmed that Nothing Phone (2) will be based on the Snapdragon 8 series chip. Now, the brand has revealed that the phone will feature the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. While not the latest and greatest from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 is known for its performance and power efficiency, and it would also help the company price the device more competitively.

Likewise, the phone is expected to provide at least 8 GB of RAM, possibly of LPDDR5x type, and the high-end variant may provide 12 GB of memory. As for storage, we can expect Nothing Phone (2) to come in at least two configurations, offering 128GB and 256GB of internal storage based on UFS 3.1.

Some reports also suggest that Nothing Phone (2) may have a 5,000mAh battery, possibly with support for slightly faster wired and wireless charging capabilities. However, just like the company’s first phone, the brand may not include a charger in the retail box.

None Phone (2) Software
